Our customer asked:

I have treated my dogs with Panacur http://www.viovet.co.uk/Drontal_Wormer_for_Dogs_Cats/c80/">Drontal at the usual time or leave it for how long? Many thanks.

Our reply:

It should be OK to consider that what you have already given is a good worm dose already, so the next Drontal dose will not be needed for 3 months or so, depending on how often you treat for worms anyway.

(I assume you have given Panacur 10% so that 0.5mls would equate to 50mg of Panacur. The correct dose of Panacur for Giardia is 50mg/kg daily for at least 3 days. Some tapeworms are not controlled by Panacur, but they are not at all common in most parts of the UK. Other worms should be killed OK. Panacur at 50mg/kg for 3 days is very effective against most worms.)
