After moving back home and seeing the lacklustre state of the family cat (23) I bought this supplement to try to perk her up. Well! Suffice to say she's been climbing the stairs for the first time in years, jumping into empty boxes and generally more free in her movement. It's really helping her joints and improving her quality of life, might seem a little pricey but in my opinion well worth it - visible results in a few months, very easy to dose and administer. She doesn't mind the taste and we mix it with lick e lix to make it a treat. Her coat looks shinier too! Will recommend to any cat /dog owner.
Included a picture of her sleeping under the radiator in the bedroom upstairs - looks like we need to get another cat bed for this spot!

Seems to have a calming influence on my 18 year old cat who has done signs of demensia!

I'm hoping this will give Harry a new lease on life. Haven't used it for him very many days so not sure of results.

Big bottle at good price. Bought it for my geriatric rat who has hind leg paralysis; common in very old rats. I us this as recommended by lots of rat forums, just to help keep him healthy. I’ve used this before on other rats in the past, with good results.

Can Senior Aid be taken when cat has CKD and a hyperthyroidism and is on Thyronorm ?
The supplement should not interfere with thyroid disorders however any supplement can impact the management of kidney disease. This is because CKD is usually managed with special diets and supplements can interfere with these. I recommend discussing the use of the supplement past your vet to be safe.

Would you recommend this for senior rats (over 18 months old) as well?
Unfortunately this product is intended for use in dogs and cats only, so I cannot advise you use it in your rat. Whilst it may be beneficial there is no evidence to say whether this supplement will be safe for use in your rat and any use is done at your own risk.
The best way to meet your rat's nutritional needs is with a good complete rat food.

The vet recommended using senior aid for my 3 year old yorkie. He sleeps a lot during the day and doesn't seem to care about leash walks or playing fetch, chewing etc. He's been abused and has a sensitive stomach. His coat and skin aren't as healthy as they should be. Would there be any side effects because he is young?
It is perfectly safe to give this supplement to any dog at any age. It is targeted at older dogs to enhance diminishing cognitive function but could be useful for your dog to improve alertness. It is certainly worth a try and will not do any harm.

Is this supplement appropriate for an 8 year old cat? I was looking for an omega 3 supplement but this looks better.
Yes, this supplement would be ideal for your cat. It provides vitamins and minerals that older cats require including omega 3.

Hello, do you have to mix this product with food/treats or can it be given neat (by licking from hands or squirted straight into the pet's mouth with a syringe)?
Senior Aid can be given any way that you have described. As it is caramel flavoured most dogs will find it very palatable and will be happy to take it straight into the mouth. You can, however, mix it with food if required.

Hi could this be used in conjunction with Yumove Advance
These two products can be used together and doing so might well prove beneficial. They contain mostly different ingredients which are included to achieve different effects, so one can be hopeful that the overall result will be as good as possible.
